It depends on the recipes as well. For example, you are cooking some veggies with the beef as well. The beef takes more time than the chicken and veggies can be cooked before all types of meat. So, it is always better to try and follow a recipe. You can add yogurt, meat, veggies, broth, cream, veggies, whatever you like to dump in your recipes.

How to brown meat in a slow cooker?

Just add 2 tablespoons of oil (You can use any type of oil here) to the cooker on a medium flame. Just add some salt and pepper to it and let it cook on each side. Make sure to turn it after every 5 minutes and soon the chicken will start to change color. Now, it depends on you how much brown chicken you like. Make sure to lower the flame as well because you want your chicken to be tender.

In the directions for the crock pot chicken with 4 ingredients- (stove top stuffing, chicken broth, chicken soup and water), it says cook 6-7 hours, but it doesn’t state if it should be at low, medium, or high. Please let me know the correct setting for this recipe.

On low is usually 6-8 hours. On high, it would 4 to 5 hours. So I would do it on low!!

Made this last night and it was delicious and so simple to put together. The house smelled great all day too! I added a pinch of salt, pepper and onion powder to the breasts before putting them in the crockpot, and added the broth on top. Mixed the soup, stuffing and water together in a bowl then added then into the crockpot. Cooked on low for 6.5 hours and it was perfect. I would make sure you spray your crockpot first for easy cleanup after. THis will be on our rotation for sure, thanks for sharing!
