Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized baking potatoes we're slicing 'em 1/8-inch thick
  • A smidge of garlic powder - about ⅛ teaspoon
  • The same amount of ground black pepper - ⅛ teaspoon
  • And let's throw in ⅛ teaspoon of celery seed
  • Paprika? You betcha! Another ⅛ teaspoon
  • Now for a little zing, just a pinch of cayenne pepper
  • A dash of salt to bring out all those flavors
  • And of course some good ol' olive oil. Let's say about 4 tablespoons, but feel free to add more if needed

Instructions

  • First off, get that oven humming along at a warm 400 degrees F (or 200 degrees C for our international friends out there).
  • Next, grab your sliced potatoes, garlic powder, black pepper, celery seed, paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt. Toss 'em all into a zip-top bag and shake, shake, shake it up to get those spuds all coated and flavorful.
  • Then, pour out those seasoned potatoes onto a good-sized baking sheet, making sure they're spread out nice and even. Don't forget to give them a nice, generous drizzle of olive oil.
  • Slide that sheet into your preheated oven and let them bake to their heart's content until they're as crispy as you like them. Usually, around 40 to 45 minutes should do the trick. Make sure to turn them over frequently so they get a nice, even golden brown all over.
  • Once they're perfectly crisped, take 'em out of the oven and let them cool down just a touch before you transfer them into your favorite serving dish.
