These are oh so good and sweet. I love chicken wings, and I’m always trying something different with them.
I have found though, that wings are better grilled than smoked. The skin on birds always comes out a little soft when smoked. Of course, you can always throw them in the broiler for a few minutes to crisp them up. But then, you can also throw a few chips on the coals while you’re grilling them to add a little smoke flavor.
So here it is. I hope you try them out, and find them completely delicious!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a sauce pan. Heat it to boiling and then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Now place 3 lbs of chicken wings into a container and pour the marinade over it. Stir the wings around until they’re completely coated with the marinade. Set it aside while you get the grill going.
- You’ll want a medium hot grill for this. Make sure you leave an area on the grill that’s away from the coals. These can burn easily, and you don’t want that to happen, so you’ll want an escape area for the wings that are cooking too quickly.
- Test one every now and then until they’re done. It’s the cook’s cut! Take them off and enjoy. Because I know that’s exactly what you’ll be doing!
