Apple Pie Filling Recipe

Ingredients

  • Apples 4 sliced/chopped
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
  • cup sugar You can use both white and brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water Make a mixture

Instructions

  • Slice or chop your apple slices while cooking the melted butter and cinnamon in a skillet on medium heat.
  • In 3 minutes, add the sugar, apples, and water.
  • Cover the skillet and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, add the cornstarch and 2 tbsp water. Mix it and add it to the skillet when the apples are done.
  • As soon as the filling starts to bubble, turn off the heat and let it cool.

Notes

It is important that you cut the apple slices in the same size so they can be properly cooked.
To check whether the apples are tender or not, use a fork.
If you want your filling to be thicker, let it boil for another 1 or 2 minutes.
