Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
For the Topping:
- 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
- 3 teaspoons white sparkling sugar OR granulated sugar
Directions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350℉ and greasing a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and egg using an electric mixer at medium speed until well combined.
- Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the mixture until a dough is formed. Then, stir in the milk chocolate chips.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of white sparkling sugar or granulated sugar.
- Bake for 22-24 minutes or until the dough puffs up and turns a golden brown.
- Immediately after removing from the oven, place the Hershey’s Kisses in a 4×6 row pattern on top of the hot bars and sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon of sugar.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares, ensuring a Hershey’s Kiss is in the center of each square.
- Store your Peanut Butter Blossom Bars in an airtight container to maintain their freshness.
