This Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Crescent Ring is one of those desserts that looks like it took a ton of effort… but really couldn’t be easier.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 8-count crescent roll tubes
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 21 oz can apple pie filling
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange crescent roll triangles in a circle with wide ends overlapping in the center.
  3. Spoon apple pie filling in a ring around the base. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
  4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Dollop over apple layer.
  5. Fold the dough tips over the filling and tuck underneath the base of the ring.
  6. Bake for 20–22 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly.
  7. Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Drizzle over cooled ring and serve.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the top after baking.
  • Like it spiced? A dash of cinnamon or apple pie spice takes the flavor up a notch.
  • Go fruity by swapping in other pie fillings like cherry, peach, or blueberry.
