Chicken Noodle Casserole

This chicken noodle casserole checks every box for a winning weeknight dinner. It's economical, easy, cheesy, and loaded with comforting flavors in each forkful.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry egg noodles about 8 oz
  • 2 cups cooked chicken diced
  • 10.5 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas or veggie medley
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook egg noodles al dente according to package, drain well.
  • In a 2-qt baking dish, mix together the noodles, chicken, soup, milk, frozen veggies and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, toss together the cheese, breadcrumbs and melted butter.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly. Broil 1 minute to brown the topping if desired.
