Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook egg noodles al dente according to package, drain well.
In a 2-qt baking dish, mix together the noodles, chicken, soup, milk, frozen veggies and pepper.
In a small bowl, toss together the cheese, breadcrumbs and melted butter.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole.
Bake for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly. Broil 1 minute to brown the topping if desired.
