Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup mayonnaise full fat
  • 1 cup warm water

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center
  5. comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool completely before frosting (if desired).

Notes

• For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
• This cake stays moist for days if stored in an airtight container.
• Feel free to add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra texture.
