Ingredients

Cheese Filling:

  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp each salt dried basil, dried parsley
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Meat Sauce:

Assembly:

  • 12 lasagna noodles cooked and cooled
  • cups shredded mozzarella for topping

Instructions

  • Mix together all ingredients for the cheese filling in a bowl.
  • Sauté onions in olive oil, then add beef and sausage. Cook until browned. Add garlic, then broth to deglaze. Stir in marinara and seasonings. Simmer.
  • Boil noodles, drain, and lay flat on parchment.
  • Spread cheese and meat sauce on each noodle, then roll tightly.
  • Place in a greased 9x13” pan with sauce on the bottom.
  • Top with remaining sauce and mozzarella. Cover and bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
  • Optional: broil uncovered for 2–3 minutes to brown the top.
  • Let cool slightly, then serve hot.
