Ingredients
  

For the Dressing:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Salad:
  • 3 cups cooked macaroni pasta cooled
  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 red bell pepper diced
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup thawed frozen peas
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 cups diced ham
  • 1/3 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

  1. Make the dressing by whisking together the mayo, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper until fully combined.
  2. In a large glass bowl or trifle dish, start layering the salad ingredients in this order:
  3. Lettuce
  4. Pasta
  5. Red bell pepper
  6. Red onion
  7. Peas
  8. Celery
  9. Ham
  10. Black olives
  11. Dressing
  12. Shredded cheese
  13. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 5 hours to allow flavors to blend.
  14. When ready to serve, give the salad a gentle toss to distribute the dressing throughout.
  15. Dish into bowls and enjoy! Feel free to top with extra cheese, olives or dressing.
