Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Oven tray

Ingredients

  • 500 g Potatoes approx. 1lb
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Sunflower, or Olive Oil
  • ¼ tsp Parsley dried
  • tsp Rosemary dried
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Onion Granules
  • tsp Black Pepper
  • Salt adjust to preference

Instructions

  • Begin by cleaning the potatoes. You can either peel them using a peeler or leave the skin on, ensuring you wash thoroughly to eliminate any dirt.
  • After washing, pat the potatoes dry with paper towels.
  • Slice the potatoes uniformly. This ensures they bake evenly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the potato slices with the rosemary, garlic powder, parsley, onion granules, salt, black pepper, and your chosen oil. Ensure each slice is well-coated with the seasoning mix.
  • Prepare your baking tray by lining it with foil or parchment paper. Place the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on the tray, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the potatoes for approximately 25-30 minutes. They're done when they're golden on the outside and soft inside.
  • Serve immediately and savor the taste!

Notes

  • Aim for uniform slices to ensure consistent baking.
  • Feel free to modify the herb and spice blend as per your preference. Popular options include Italian seasoning, cajun seasoning, or even a simple vegetable seasoning mix.
  • If you're a cheese lover, sprinkle some grated Parmesan, mozzarella, or cheddar over the potatoes during the last 10 minutes of baking for a cheesy twist.
  • For added flavor, consider adding thinly sliced onions to the mix before baking.
