Ingredients

  • Ground Beef: 1.5 lbs
  • Tomato Sauce: 2 cans 15 oz. each
  • Cream Cheese: 8 oz.
  • Sour Cream: 8 oz.
  • Egg Noodles: 8 oz.
  • Cheddar Cheese: 1.5 cups
  • Minced Garlic: 2 tsp.
  • Italian Seasoning: 1 tsp.
  • Sugar: 1 tsp.
  • Salt and Pepper: to taste

Method

Preheat & Brown the Beef
  1. Kickstart your oven to a cozy 350°F.
  2. Over a medium-high flame, cook the ground beef in a skillet until fully browned. Kiss goodbye to any excess grease.
Infuse Flavor & Make the Sauce
  1. Toss in your minced garlic and Italian seasoning into the skillet, letting them mingle with the beef for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add a splash of sweetness with sugar and then pour in the tomato sauce. Stir in some salt and pepper for seasoning. Let this simmer for a quick 3-5 minutes.
The Creamy Dream Team
  1. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Noodle Time!
  1. Boil your egg noodles until they reach your preferred level of doneness, then drain them thoroughly.
Layering Like a Pro
  1. Grab a 9x13-inch baking dish and grease it up.
  2. Start layering by placing half of your drained egg noodles at the bottom.
  3. Next, spread a layer of your cream cheese mixture over the noodles.
  4. On top of that, add a layer of your meaty, saucy concoction.
  5. Duplicate these layers once more: noodles, cream, and meat.
Cheesy Finish & Baking
  1. Crown your casserole with a generous sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  2. Pop the baking dish into the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
