SLOW COOKER HOT FUDGE BROWNIES

A decadent four-ingredient dessert that creates its own hot fudge sauce while cooking! Perfect for serving warm with ice cream.

Ingredients

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • For the Fudge Topping:
  • 1 12 oz jar hot fudge sauce
  • 3/4 cup hot water

Optional Toppings:

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts
  • Fresh berries

Instructions

  • Liberally grease large slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, 1/4 cup water, and eggs until well mixed.
  • Pour brownie batter into prepared slow cooker.
  • In same bowl (no need to wash), whisk together hot fudge sauce and hot water until smooth.
  • Carefully pour fudge mixture over brownie batter.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 2½ hours.
  • Brownies are done when edges are set but center is still gooey.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
  • Scoop into bowls and serve warm with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Timing: All slow cookers cook differently - check early
  • Storage: Best served fresh and warm
  • Make Ahead: Not recommended
  • Size: Works in 6-quart slow cooker
  • Doubling: Increase cook time if doubling
  • Important: Don't lift lid while cooking
