SLOW COOKER HOT FUDGE BROWNIES

A decadent four-ingredient dessert that creates its own hot fudge sauce while cooking! Perfect for serving warm with ice cream.

Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base:
  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • For the Fudge Topping:
  • 1 12 oz jar hot fudge sauce
  • 3/4 cup hot water
Optional Toppings:
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts
  • Fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Liberally grease large slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. In large bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, 1/4 cup water, and eggs until well mixed.
  3. Pour brownie batter into prepared slow cooker.
  4. In same bowl (no need to wash), whisk together hot fudge sauce and hot water until smooth.
  5. Carefully pour fudge mixture over brownie batter.
  6. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 2½ hours.
  7. Brownies are done when edges are set but center is still gooey.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Scoop into bowls and serve warm with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Timing: All slow cookers cook differently - check early
  • Storage: Best served fresh and warm
  • Make Ahead: Not recommended
  • Size: Works in 6-quart slow cooker
  • Doubling: Increase cook time if doubling
  • Important: Don't lift lid while cooking
