Ingredients

Spice Blend Components

  • 1 tablespoon Parsley
  • 1.5 tablespoons Basil
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano
  • ½ tablespoon Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Onion granules
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic granules
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper or adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Combining Flavors: Into the bowl or jar, sift together parsley, basil, oregano, paprika, onion and garlic granules, and black pepper.
  • Stir It Up: Take a measuring spoon and give it a thorough mix. You want a homogeneous blend.
  • Jar It: Transfer your spice blend into an airtight container or a clean, dry spice jar.
  • Ready, Set, Use: Voilà! You can use it right away or store it for later.

Notes

  • Utensil Alert: Make sure your mixing tools are bone dry to avoid a clumpy disaster.
  • Taste Test: Try it. If it needs more kick, feel free to sprinkle in extra black pepper or another preferred spice. Remember, you're the artist here.
  • Shelf Stability: Opt for spices and herbs that have longer shelf lives to maximize the blend’s longevity.
  • Smooth vs. Coarse: Prefer a smoother blend? Pop it into a dry mill for a quick pulse.
  • Steaming Pot Caution: When it's time to season your dish, avoid directly sprinkling the blend over a hot, steaming pot—moisture is the enemy.
  • Storage Savvy: Store this culinary gem in a cool, dry nook, and don’t forget to shake the jar before each use for an even distribution of flavor.
