Ingredients

  • ½ – ¾ tsp dill
  • 2-4 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 medium to large tomato
  • 1 cucumber
  • ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the cucumber, slice the tomato and chop the onion.
  • I like to slice the onion and then quarter it because it is easier to eat.
  • In a bowl, combine the dill and salt.
  • Add sour cream or yogurt and lemon juice to taste. Mix well.
  • Add onion, cucumber, and tomato to the mixture and toss until vegetables are coated with dressing.
  • Let stand for 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Have no idea how this is going to turn out. No sour cream or plain yogurt. Used French vanilla yogurt. All I had in the house.

Ohhh, Marilyn, how did that turn out? I can’t imagine putting vinegar with french vanilla yogurt but stranger combos have worked in other things, eh?

What are the small green pieces? It looks like green onion or celery. Very clear for having sour cream added!! Are you sure this is correct picture for recipe?

Looks like celery pieces. Also looks like halved cherry tomatoes; not regular large tomatoes. The photo probably used a vinegar dressing. I agree – no sour cream or yogurt is evident. It’s all just weird.

What happened to the mustard, poppy seeds and rest shown in picture?

Dear life with Janet, I hope you know that there is a site on Facebook hijacking your recipes. They put a very delicious looking picture up and then have a recipe that doesn’t come close to the picture. I think you should complain to someone.
