Apple and Cream Cheese Bundt Cake


The apple cream cheese Bundt cake has always been my favorite. Not only me, but my family, friends, and even the neighbors also love when I cook it and send it over. Everyone keeps asking me how do I make it and why does it taste so soft. The one thing we all fall for is the caramel topping on top. I prefer to make it with pecan toppings as it is the perfect thing it goes with the cake. You can use any other type of nuts you like including almonds and walnuts. Moreover, top it with some sprinkles if you like as kids do not like nuts in their cake.

In summers when you are tired from the heat and you need something cool and yummy, try this delicious dessert. The caramel pecan topping is the hit in my house where everywhere keep on waiting and ask me to make it soon. Today, I will be sharing that recipe with you so you can enjoy the cool and yummy flavors of apple crisp in your cake even on a hot day. For all the cheesecake fans, this is going to be a special treat for you that you will not regret making at all.

Apple and Cream Cheese Bundt Cake

Let’s make the filling:

  • Soft cream cheese 1 pack
  • Granulated sugar half cup
  • Butter half cup
  • Egg 1
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp

To make the cake batter:

  • Flour 3 cups
  • Chopped pecans 1 cup
  • Granulated sugar 1 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1 tsp
  • Eggs 3 beaten
  • Canola oil 12 tbsp
  • Applesauce 12 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Peeled and sliced apples 3 cups
  • For the caramel frosting:
  • Pecan halves 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Milk 3 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Brown sugar half cup


Cream cheese:

  • Add the cream cheese, sugar, and butter to a mixer. Beat it and then one by one add the flour, egg, and vanilla, Beat it for 3-5 minutes for better consistency.
  • Preparing the batter:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a baking pan and put the parchment paper. Now add the pecans and bake them for 8-10 minutes. It is necessary to roast them for a better flavor.
  • Now take a bowl and add the flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda. Add the eggs gradually to the paste and constantly stir it.
  • Put the vanilla extract, apple sauce, and oil now. Mix it well and add the sliced apples and the roasted pecans.
  • Add the half mixture into a Bundt pan now. Pour the cream cheese filling and add over the other half mixture.
  • Bake it for 1 hour and 10-15 minutes. Check through a toothpick to make sure it is done. Cool it on the rack on a plate.

Making frosting:

  • Take all the ingredients in a saucepan except for the vanilla and the sugar. Let it boil and stir it well. Remove from the flame and add vanilla essence and sugar to it. Whisk it well and add it over the cake. Garnish the cake with pecans or any other thing you like. Let the cake cool now for 4-5 hours minimum. If you can, let it refrigerate overnight for a better taste.

    The directions are not clear for the apple pecan cream cheese cake. Specifically the frosting. The recipe states cook all the ingredients except for the sugar and vanilla. In order to make caramel frosting you must have sugar heated.
