Let’s Make It!

  1. Start by browning your lean ground beef with onions until cooked through. Season with zesty taco seasoning, black beans and a touch of water to make a thick, tasty filling.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together the luscious tomato-chili sauce with cool sour cream to create a creamy, tangy blend.
  3. Time to layer! Line a baking dish with a tortilla, then spread on half the beef filling, sauce and finally a shower of shredded cheese. Repeat layers ending with a cheesy tortilla topper.
  4. Just bake until hot and bubbling, then dig into the incredible aroma of south-of-the-border spices.

Pro Tips & Tasty Tricks

  • Make it Meat-Free: Use veggie crumbles or fill with sauteed fajita veggies instead of beef
  • Spice It Up: Add pickled jalapeños, diced green chiles or chipotle sauce for extra kick
  • Stay Classic: Swap black beans for refried pinto beans for a traditional spin
  • Meal Prep It: This freezes beautifully for heat-and-eat single servings
  • Crispy Texture: Spray tortillas lightly with cooking spray before layering

Serving Suggestions: Slice into squares and top with your favorite burrito fixings like guacamole, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and more sour cream or salsa. Pair it with cilantro lime rice or elote for an authentic Mexican feast!

Storage Instructions: Leftovers will keep refrigerated for 3-4 days. Reheat portions in the microwave or oven until heated through. For freezing, let baked casserole cool completely then wrap tightly with foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before reheating.
