  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 packages 8 ounces each cream cheese
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
For the glaze:
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. To begin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and grease a baking pan that measures 13x9 inches. Take a pack of crescent rolls, and lay them in the pan, ensuring that you pinch together any openings in the dough.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg, then beat the ingredients together until they form a smooth mixture.
  3. Using a spatula, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the first layer of crescent rolls. add the second pack of crescent rolls on top of the cream cheese mixture, making sure it's evenly spread. To give the top layer a nice finish, use a brush to coat it with egg white.
  4. Bake the pastry in the oven for about 35-45 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Once it's done, allow it to cool for about 20 minutes before adding the glaze on top.
