Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional

Method
 

  1. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk. Stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla, and nuts, if desired.
  4. Pour mixture into prepared pan, spreading evenly. Cool completely before cutting.

Notes

- For a quick and easy chocolate fudge, try using semi-sweet chocolate chips in place of the cocoa and milk.
- Fudge will keep at room temperature for up to 3 days.
