  • Butter: 1 cup
  • Brown sugar packed: 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Quick-cooking oats: 3 cups
  • Semisweet chocolate chips: 1 cup
  • Creamy peanut butter: 1/2 cup
  • Extra chocolate chips for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare a 9x9 inch pan by greasing it and keep it ready.
  2. Use a medium-sized pot to melt butter. Once melted, mix in brown sugar and vanilla essence.
  3. Introduce the quick-cooking oats to the pot and simmer on low heat briefly.
  4. Spread half of the oat mix in the greased pan, flattening with a spatula.
  5. In a separate pot, gently melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter. Stir till you achieve a creamy consistency.
  6. Pour this chocolaty mix over the oat base in the pan.
  7. Top it up by sprinkling the remaining oat blend, pressing softly.
  8. For a final touch, melt some chocolate chips and cascade them over the concoction.
  9. Allow the creation to chill in the refrigerator. Before relishing, ensure they reach room temperature. Slice, serve, and indulge!
