We all know that there are numerous benefits of eating sweet potatoes, so they should be a part of your diet. I give it to the kids to enjoy a healthy and balanced diet. Moreover, you should know that it is easy to make. You do not need a long list of ingredients or equipment because the whole cooking process will be done in the baking oven.
You can serve it in lunch with some delicious toppings and enjoy it with your family. After you come home from a long day of a hectic routine, you want to lie down. Having baked sweet potatoes means you do not have to cook in the kitchen. Just toss your potato in the oven, take a shower, and enjoy your dinner.
How to make baked sweet potatoes?
If I have to be honest, I never liked sweet potatoes before. But, when I tried this recipe, I included it in our weekly meals because it was so delicious. You might have tasted it in the form of casserole but try this in the right way. The caramelized edges, butter and sour cream on top, and hot comfort bite of deliciousness will melt your heart.
Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees F and add parchment paper to the pan. Then poke holes into the potato and bake it for 50-60 minutes. Check with the help of a fork whether the potatoes are done or not.
Many people wrap their potatoes in foil paper, but I do not do that. The reason is that you get very moist skin, and I want it to be crispy. So, it is your choice, and you can choose any procedure according to your liking. If you are in a hurry, cut the sweet potatoes in half or more. It will take less to bake, and you can serve by sprinkling salt, pepper, and coriander.

There is no one way to serve sweet baked potatoes. You can use any of the above-mentioned optional ingredients to enhance the flavors of your recipe. Sprinkle some fresh coriander, too, as it tastes good and gives you a fantastic aroma. I have even tried it with alfredo sauce or any ranch dressing. Either way, I love the result you get from the recipe.
In the instructions you say to cook them whole, but your beautiful, delicious-looking pictures show them in halves, how do they turn out so nice and crispy if you don’t cut them up before you cook them?
Next question, your instructions say to cook them 50 minutes, but in your preamble you say to cook them 30? I understand that you’re fork checking them, but how much time should I plan to coordinate the meal?
Thank you, Gale
